Top evening session, added to by the chaps who turned up in an RS6 (kitty littered it banned from returning to track in that car ) BUT then took the Lambo out and smoked something****

  • ** something = random engine component AND of course I later discovered it was a "courtesy/demo" car from Lambo High Wycombe...I guess someone is forking out for some £££££££££ of mechanical damage!

Ouch! What a tool!

Big thumbs up to Goldtrack for organising the eve and having words with the Audi driver!

Had a good eve - first time at Silverstone - black Leon Cupra R - glad the rain held off!

I agree, it was a great evening with lots of track time smile and well organised as ever.

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one who had issues with the RS6 driver, good for GT to sort it out so quickly, although I didn't know they managed to bury it in the kitty litter... redcard

Just so happens I was testing the new VIDEO4 system from Race Technology when he happened to pass by, all over the place through Becketts (can't quite see), think he would have been off at Vale if not for the slower car in front, half off the road at Abbey and all the way off at Priory.

That RS6 is certainly quick in a straight line....

I've got a picture of MR Lambo (test)driver (helmet off) being towed back into paddock by the recovery truck, but nobody would want to see that would they?

Talking of the Lambo, did anyone see what sounded like an enormous tank slapper through Copse? Did it end in a spin or was it saved?

Great evening ... rain almost stopped play.. but it dried up and the grip came in..

Mr RS6 crept passed me on the hanger straight.. I thought it would be quicker with 560bhp .. I kept out of the way after seeing a few of his questionable lines.. smile braking half way round bridge isn't usually recommended.. the inevitable result followed shortly after..

New cups required for Tuesday... wink

had a great session in the little red MG ZR, the car was brilliant if a little underpowered, good driving standards there exexpt perhaps the cars named in this thread, funny thing was seeing the Lambo waiting for the breakdown truck a mile or two from the circuit. Big thanks to Goldtrack for another great trackday, look forward to the next

Do you think I can take my Seat Leon FR TDI to Silverstone to track it at a some point ? It's a 170 bhp oil burner. No modifications were added to the vehicle. Would love to try and track it !

I took my Audi A3 TDi Quattro Sport last year smile found the gearing not quite right (but maybe that was because I was not feeling 100% on the day)

Nothing wrong with DERV power - Audi & Pug do it at Le Mans

I reckon you'd be just fine. You'll see all sorts on a trackday. Be prepared for some fairly heavy tyre wear. Surprising levels of grip in the Leon, quite a lot of body roll, but when it grips, it grips!

Do it and you'll be hooked!

Cool, I will take it to Silverstone as it's nearest to my base in Aylesbury. Tried to PM'd you but you don't allow emails coming in. PM me instead smile

Cheers

So do you reckon I should given those 350 horses in my derv drinker a gallop last Thursday?
