Anglesey doesn't have any pit garages but does it have any weather protection at all?

I am up there this weekend with a Westfield and a bad weather forecast. Not a good mix I am sure you will agree lol. I have been told that there are canopy's or some type of cover/shelter that can be used.

Can anyone who has been there recently (or someone who knows anyway) give me any more info?

Hi there are some canopies that appear to be on a first come first served basis on track days.

The paddock at Anglesey is very sparse, little more than a big car park. There's a canopy with a corrugated metal roof that has a few bays, maybe enough for half a dozen cars but that's it. I believe they use it for scrutineering and the like at events.

I'd take a gazebo or an ezup if I were you just in case. Anglesey is a brilliant circuit but undergoing a lot of work at the moment so the facilities aren't quite up to scratch just yet.

As Darkslider said most of those covered areas get used for scrutineering, you might be able to blag a space there.

If you take a canopy make sure you have plenty of weights or straps as it can get very windy in the paddock......

Thanks for the info all.

We shall see, I do have a car cover but if the rain is constantly heavy then even that is ideal.

I will just get there early and hope for the best...and hope for good weather too. I am very excited about doing this track.

They're going to be upgrading the paddock facilities with proper garages and things at some point but as far as I know they don't have any definite plans yet.

I was there last week, and am going Sunday.

They are doing alot of earthwork on the left hand side as you drive in-not sure what for though!

It certainly get windy and cold-it was a nightmare last time! Still, I quite like it when it pisses down-hardly anyone on track.

I am there again on sunday, an awning on the side of the race truck is very handy at anglesey but needs securing down due the wind issues.

Have been driving/riding there since the early 90's haven't had many nice days weatherwise but have to say the new track is awesome

Matt,

i`m there on Sunday too. Blue MK2 Golf. The forecast doesn`t look too good and it was the same when i was at Anglesey last October. unless you manage to secure one of the corrugated `garages` mentioned, you`ll need a good gazebo to keep out of the rain to be honest.

Can`t wait, its a cracking track.

I was there at the end of March, and the canopy area had 1 or 2 Radicals in them and the rest of it was seating area for the buttie van. I think it's a 'local' parking area for 'local' people. hehe

Great track though, they do a nice chips and a brew too.

You were shifting round, especially when it got wet.

I had a great session in the dry, and the wet was fun too, but I lack the confidence to push when its damp (or when it has rained) as it was my first time driving in wet weather.

What a great track though.

What a great day. I don`t have confidence in the wet and really made a point of trying to press on in the rain on Sunday. The last hour was spent going round with my mate in his 306, having a play at Lift Off oversteer biggrin

This you ? The GTR was leaving 4 lines of black rubber out of every corner, bet he goes through tyres quickly eek

Well despine terrible weather forecasts it turned out ok didn't it?

My brother and I were in the green Westfield Megabusa.

I took a few pictures, but most are of the journey there and back since it was my first time in Wales and the scenery is so nice.

I really need a better zoom!
