On the hunt for a set of wet tyres, purely for track use, as our 888's dont give me a lot of confidence. (great dry tho) Any recomendations?? To go on an Elise.
Thanks Dave.

One of my mates has a vx220 on Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's.

He gets a semi when its wet on track with these tyres. not bad in the dry by all accounts.

the compound for wet tyres is incredibly soft, in addition to their tread pattern. Hand cut 888s are only half way there in terms of outright grip. Having raced on michelin wets, I can attest they offer almost as much grip as 888s in the dry!

AAAHHH... Just read the "purely for track use" bit..sorry...

In that case, rock up to Fort Dunlop with a fistfull of cash and get some wet slicks

2nd that. I had a set of wets on my elise and lapped pembrey in the rain within 1 second of my time on sp9000 road tyres in the dry. Dunlops wets are a little hard and the tread design means they dont fal apart in the dry.
