Is any car worthy of the track?

Track days arent about speed or racing. See it as a chance to hone your driving skills.
Keep an eye on your mirrors for faster moving vehicles, dont dick about and you should have a laugh!
Ps, What car are we talking about?
I'm with you on that one - sure, you'll be looking in your mirrors, but just let others pass when appropriate.Keep an eye on your mirrors for faster moving vehicles, dont dick about and you should have a laugh!

I did Cadwell in my Corsa 1.4 - it was extremely useful as it taught me a lot about my car its capabilities (which turns out, are pretty dire
)I think the Rockingham one is quite popular, but depends on where you are in the UK?

I drove a brand new Golf Mk5 1.4 at Castle Combe, when my then track toy failed its noise test by over 10dB.
It was my mate's company car, who came along as a guest in it. We decided to go on, as we've paid for the track time and taken the day off...
We had a lot of fun that day - knowing that the car will roll around on road suspension, and the brakes will be crap meant we took it easy, but it was small and light enough to be agile around corners.
ETA: Before anyone questions the morality of driving a company car on track, it was my mate's company, so he can do whatever he wants with the car...

Why not?
There will almost always be faster people on track, whatever you're driving, so the routine is the same: keep an eye on your mirrors, move over when necessary, but the rest of the time... enjoy it.
Do keep thinking about taking the Focus on a track day to see how it handles on a track. That is a bit less likely now my fun car is capable of passing noise tests though!
