See here for circuit map

For events I recommend, then track days have to be the first for me. Hardly anyone there so plenty of time to practice!! You also dont have to wait for the chips in the restaurent (which are lovely btw :lolsmile

As for race events I would say:

The Gold Cup. THE event of the year IMO. I have been waiting for this one all year! Some of the best cars you will see at Oulton all year round. Plus rally cars and a load of Owners Clubs makes for a fantastic weekend!

750 Motor Club. Non stop action all the way with this lot usually. Great racing and well run!

AMOC. The Aston Martin race meeting is a superb meeting with some really lovely motors!

The FInal Round of BSB It is the Superbikes. It is the last race of the season for the BSB. It is going to be amazing.

So I hope this helps and we get a few new photographers up at Oulton Park smile

That's very kind of you! Nicely put together too.

I'm about to splash out on a decent SLR at some point soon so I might well head up to Oulton Park with this in mind. Ta!

That's a great writeup Matt and a good reminder to us non-photograpers that you don't just go out there and point the camera in our direction in the hope that it will come out well!

Fantastic guide and insight to photographing Oulton Park, practicing at a trackday with no crowds is the way to go.
If you get some good shots, i would reward the photogragher a passenger ride, no probs.

Thanks for sharing that well researched info!

I'm a bit worried about the driver of the red single seater (third image, black area) .....

..... I think he's fallen asleep at the wheel yikes

Thread resurrection...

Matt, I`m at Oulton on Saturday and my wife will be taking photos as usual. Your website isn`t there anymore, do you have a saved version of your guide you could upload please? or does anyone else have any info on taking photos at Oulton please ?
