How did you get on? We were planning to bring two Caterhams but weren't convinced we would survive the on track testing.

I'm booked for Bedford on 31st Aug, and I'm a little worried about the noise limits, with my cans on I don't have any problems with Doningtons 98dB limit but Bedfords 87.5dB limit seem a little harsh,

I think the 87.5 is the drive by limit, the static is usually 97 or 101.

Yeap the static is 101dB but Donington only do 'drive by' I'm going to chance it but might get my old man to drive down in the BMW so I've got a spare car if the TVR blows the noise meter up.

My Cerb on standard back box and cats measured 97db at Bedford. I have now taken the cats out and fitted the ACT replacement silencers (cherry bomb they call them) and it now measures at 101. So you should be ok.

Thanks for that, looks a little more promising now, the Chimaera is running no silencing at all, no cats, no back boxes...it's an instant black flag at Donington but with the ACT style cans on the back it's ok, so I just hope with those fitted I'll be fine.
