New Toy.

Hi all,

Just purchased a right little cracker, 2001 Fiesta Zetec s 1.6. One owner full service record and in mint condition only 43k miles.

Been on the look out for a little toy for a while, And i was considering taking it to the 'Ring' and on other track days with some pals who have newer hot hatches.

Just wounder on peoples thoughts about this.....Would the 1.6 be up to the job,Has anyone taken there zetec s on track days? I now there are alot more people on here who know more about cars than i do,

Don't worry about being lost on the straights - just enjoy it

(Get some tuition too if you're a novice, changed my first track day no end)

Worth getting everything checked e.g. suspension also New brake fluid / Maybe upgraded brake pads e.g. EBC/Mintex etc , good oil e.g. get some recommendations from here, check tyres and replace with good quality makes if required.

Then the list continues but sure you can find more on here....

Worth getting a decent Helmet too!

Thanks for the replies, Had a major service done on it,I had new brakes and oil,plugs,filter,brake fluid etc etc all seemed fine, Mechanic was impressed with her condition.

Not planning to MOD it just gonna make some suttle changes but nothing outlandish as i want to keep it in original condition.

I agree its all bout the fun, Anyway my friends have a r26 and cupra,So no point in trying to keep up LOL.

Your probably find OE Brake pads fade on a hard braking circuit

Or just take it easy.....
