A few friends and I are planning a trackday to Spa in 2010 and i was wondering if anyone knows what is happening with their noise restrictions? I heard that they were going to start enforcing a 105db limit? Is this true?

April, May, June, September, October - Porsche Club Francorchamps
May - MLR track day
June - Autotrack/LoT
June - Goldtrack
July, October - RMA,

Yep Jonny, you do the most days at Spa and you are the most expensive at Spa as well.

Must be doing something right then Shim cause i'm not going round on my own every time we're there! Track days should be about value for money, not cost.

Had a fantastic time there this year with BaT.
Nothing to fault it, even the weather played ball.
The souvenir photos from the BaT photographers were out of this world and worth the small cost.

It's a major event, I wouldn't risk it with a two bit outfit.
Book the best, Bookatrack.

would you like to let us know which 'two bit' outfits you'd recommend we avoid?

Shim, have you had a bad BaT experience at Spa?

Have you had a bad BaT experience at all?

Given that they arrange many trackdays at Spa, does anyone at BaT have firm news on whether Spa will be open for the trackdays on 5th and 6th October 2009 by any chance?

Thanks! smile

No i havent had a bad one, apart from Jonnys briefings get me angrypunch

TBH i have i think done trackdays with most of the organisers quite a few times and i dont think any of the major ones are bad, and they have all good organisation and good attitude to safety

some have issues with too many on track and some days have far to wide a difference in track experience and track speed but i think this can happen with all the organisers for one reason or another.

I am not sure where your question comes from, i was just commenting that BaT are the most expensive at Spa 2009 out of all.

I have no direct information and haven't spoken to the circuit (they'll be busy enough this week i'm sure) but my 2p worth is that a council-owned circuit who's business drives not just the local villages but many of the nearby towns as well is not about to be closed down for good.

Spa have long since been muttering about noise limits and it's only a matter of time before they start enforcing them. I personally think this is the judges way of telling them to get serious about it right now.

As a gambling man, i'd wager a fair amount of money that Circuit Days will have their days next week - I hope so anyway, we're heading out there with the BaT Cats!

I'm lining myself up to look like a right cu*t now (more so than normal), but I am a lap record holder at Spa actually!
