Spa 5th and 6th October
Discussion
I've just come back from Spa with a few friends and despite the constant rain we all really enjoyed ourselves. The day was run extremely well (thanks Circuit Days), and there was a really good level of driving considering the number of cars present, and the conditions of the day.
I hope that those who stayed on today have better weather.
I'm interested to see any pictures and videos of the day, so get them posted up

There were loads of TVRs there it looked like a good trip you had. The local exhaust silencer place must have done well from you all, keeping your cars to 105dB.
Believe it or not, our car is well within 105dB - it's just the right sort of noise

Did you take any pictures or videos of your laps?
I was there with our BlueSquare Clio Cup race car and the M3, had a fantastic time with the Clio in the wet, first time i've driven it in the wet and was well pleased!
Shame we never kept the M3 in the right direction and ended up in the pit wall after aquaplaning
Saw lots of TVR's at the circuit and our hotel too

Your Clio was so fast in the wet. I remember seeing you close in really quickly and moving well out of your way as you were flying. Sorry to hear about your BMW.Shame we never kept the M3 in the right direction and ended up in the pit wall after aquaplaning

I saw the accident happen (right by the top hairpin right?) and the same accident nearly happened to my friend. Directly beneath the start line lights gantry there was a small dip across the track which held a puddle of watter, and we saw it unsettle a few cars. How bad was the damage? I didn't like to come and look.
I still had a fantastic day despite the weather. I did not actually get to do that much lapping but enjoyed it when I did and it gave me more experience in the wet which is what I need, it was only my second session ever in the wet. Shame it never got dry to start pushing the car but I (we) have been very fortunate this year with weather so I can't complain.
We had an awesome time - best circuit, in the WURLD.

There was a dry racing-line for a few hours in the morning! And anyway, IMO driving in the monsoon teaches you more about car control.Dry

A 'dryish line' and 'dry' are 2 very different things IMO, especially in a car with no driving aids. You could certainly drive faster late morning but as soon as lunch started it just rained. The first couple of hours after lunch were really bad, then the rain eased and as more cars got out it got a bit better.
Agree with you on the wet teaches you more though.

I had my 20 minutes instruction with Adam at 13:30
he helped a great deal with exactly where to brake in the monsoon, but on our first lap at the chicane when we experienced some slight oversteer, he gallantly suggested it was his extra weight which had unsettled my driving.
I was at the event with a group organised by Nurburgring Experience. I was in the red E46 M3. The weather was bad, but luckily i had to 2sets of tyres for this occasion
Here is some pictures i took.

I also took some video clips, I will upload once i have some time.
