I just pitched up to see a few mates.

From a spectator's POV, it looked too busy. 30 cars on the indy. Did you guys enjoy it?

Busy but it always feels busy. What's the usual number? I did enjoy, not too horrid driviving for a mix of people / cars.

Was a bit busy but not too bad. Whole range of different levels of experience so some understanding required by those in quicker cars.

Bit annoyed with the MX5 that came back out on track spitting gravel behind it. Don't know if it was the car that span off, but without doubt looking at the tyres it had been into the gravel. Mate in a Boxster has a chipped windscreen as a result.

By the last hour the track was very clear and was the best time of the day with good clear lap after lap unhindered.

Generally very good day.

Certainly hectic at times but it did settle down and it was never boring! Personally I saw only one example of anti social (or rather, ignorant) driving, otherwise the standard of courtesy and consideration for faster/slower cars was very good. Perhaps the somewhat severe drivers' briefing had the desired effect! I agree that the last hour was the bestof the day.

Was a bit peed off to start off with as i did 1 lap and one of the MX5'S (from the group of 15 drivers spread over 3 cars) binned it in the kitty litter which meant by the time i got back to the pit lane i was about 35 cars back. This happened to me 3 times in the day which peed me off even more. I also got caught behind a very ignorent driver in a white car (not going to say the make) who would not move out of the way of faster cars.

On the plus the driver breifing by Kevin (think that is his name) from focused events was firm but fair (although i think anyone who has never done a track day should be made to do a novice day first) and that with the amount of cars/extra drivers there it ran really well and towards the end of the day I never had to stop at the end of the pit lane as the track was not busy which was good, so well done Focused events for a good and well organised day.
There was a good assotment of diffrent cars and driver ability and in whole was enjoyable.

Oh and i was peed off by somthing else. My mate turned up in his E36 (had a horrible green wing wheels ect smile) after having a HUGE amount work done on it and he was quicker than me. So round one to you Dan, See you on the track soon.

Just had a look at your profile and your very recognisable car. I was in one of the black m3's (OZ wheels)and have some good footage of you through surtees. Both yours and your mates cars looked well planted and were quick. I will try to post something on youtube and send you the link. some of it is brief as you scooted off into the distance

That would be cool rex just DONT post footage of the OTHER green winged M3 in front of me as he will NEVER let me live it down.

Did you have a good end to the day when the track was empty? I was taking my daughter round for the first time and managed not to come across a car for the last 5 mins of the day. It was great to hear her scream as i got the back end out round clearways smile

Went out for about 25 mins at full attack and put in consistent laps and got my braking later and later into druids. Amazing how late you can brake and how much the car digs into the tarmac. Passenger ended up getting lower and lower into the seat

I ended up having to put my road tyres back on for the last hour as I had worn one of my slicks down to canvas. Got to say that it was fun to say the least running on them especially exiting druids.

IIRC (willing to be corrected on this by a TDO) that Brands' own limit for the Indy circuit is 36 cars. Imagine that!!

At the driver breifing we where told there would be 28 maybe 30 cars on track at one time. Maybe thats focused events rule but even with 28 it got really busy at some points.

i thought it was 20 cars that MSV allowed on the Indy circuit at any one time?

Agree with all of the above. The morning was very frustrating - I think I'd only done one lap by noon and I was getting pretty fed up. The multi-rent MX5s were a downright nuisance all day, but the TDO was on top of them and did everything they could, so fair play. As always, the day just got better as it went on, and the last hour felt like I had the place to myself; the only problem was having to scrounge around the paddock trying to buy some more fuel for the last 20 mins having burned off much more than I expected...

I was at the MSV/GTPorsche day there on Wednesday, and that didn't feel that busy at all. In the briefing they said it would be limited to 22-24 cars on track, even so I never had to queue for more than a minute to get out. I guess they just didn't take as many bookings.
