Anyone there yesterday?
Highlight of the day was the silver Evo V spinning off onto the grass early doors especially as my brother in his Evo 6 Makinen was lapping much quicker!
Plus enjoyed overtaking almost everybody in a convertible Audi TT!

I was there... (pink 77' Chevy Camaro)

Audi TT was really flying and certainly won the most tyre noise award.. !!!!

Didn't see the silver Evo go off, only other red flags were the White Supra and the other Red Porsche.. Great day with the weather for November too..!

I was there in the silver VX220 with Union Flag roof, was a great day, really lucky with the weather. My mate spun off in my car but luckily onto the grass with lots of run off. We had a good hassle free day. Back there with LoT on 18th Dec

I was there on first track day Ive done( sorry if I got in anybodys way).Never been to Brands Hatch before.I Used Wifes bog standard Red 1979 911 Targa on normal road tyres.
Car was totally unprepared and I fully expected it to fall to pieces after 3 laps so I trailered it down.

Well I got no brake fade from completely stock brakes atall in spite of me trying my hardest, engine now doesnt smoke when I start it up.Brakes, and engine got better and stronger as the day went by.Even the tyres didnt melt.I did more mileage in it on thursday than its done in the last 10 years.
Certainly blew a few cobwebs out the old girl......in fact I think it did the car the world of good.

Ill do another...perhaps in something a little quicker;).... and on a bigger circuit with some straights.

Pink Camero? You were the first guys I spoke to that morning. My little bro was in the red Evo, I was in the P1. Didn't go round much in my P1 bur still made a mess of the tyres! Must be the price you pay for 4WD and understeer!
My mate in the squealing TT races Formula Palmer Audi and knows the circuit well... 59sec lap in a convrtible TT is pretty good!
Evo Makinen has had new brakes all round and needs 4 tyres after that day!! Ended day after he was black flagged for getting a tank slapper round paddock!
Thank the lord for the weather, great fun.

Great day

wicked day! that's me in the red TME wink

got black flagged for the tank slapper (i was VERY proud to keep in on the track to be honest!) just to be allowed 10 mins to 'chill out' apparently! by that time we'd been there all day so figured best to end on a 'high' rather than do one more and smash it up!!

can't wait for the next one, with new tyres and brakes i'll be flying.

ditto paul, i've lost the piece of paper.

i'm PRAYING he somehow got a shot of me holding my slapper, very much doubt it though.

I was in the blue CRX, again a great day with only 1 moment which also meant a 10 min cooling and my wristband number being noted.. smile
Think in all I must have run for over 5 hours!

360 spin into Paddock Hill bend at about 80mph...
Proper passenger moment. Maybe thought I'd see if I could "Catch it like Plato" smile
Guys were good about it - asked what I though caused it (I put it down to a sudden lack of talent) I was paying too much attention getting over to the left to turn in after overtaking someone and wasnt looking through the corner.

i guess a 360 spin might warrant a quick 'telling off' but i really don't see why they called me in, i didn't lose it. for all they knew i could have been a professional driver, what with the skill i showed keeping it on the road! ha ha ha, obviously that's utter bks and i think i was just very lucky!

You were the guy who me and my race driver friend had a tussle with in the Hairdresser TT convertible! You had some pace but he really knows the track and as someone already said he got the award for squealing the whole way round. These racers really know how to drive!

I have the piece of paper from the photographer but it is at home. I'll bring it in tomorrow.

Twas only my second track day, so I'll take that as a compliment! I remember being passed a few times by the TT! And the W plated TIV was bloody fast too. Ive only got 130bhp, road tyres,150k on the clock and it spent the whole time bouncing off the limiter. There were some pretty quick cars there, plus the CRX is better in corners than on the straightssmile

Next time I need to come and find some of you and say Hi...
