That clio cup was going very well indeed, I had some good fun with it in the afternoon. It was throwing huge flames from the exhaust on upshifts, Good job i wasn't in an open top car or it would have burned my eyebrows lol.

I spoke to the fella with the quick 205, He came over after we had a good tussle and he killed his brake pads. He said the car was running 200bhp and he had it weighed at 800kg, It was definately quick.

Problem with the clio it actually weighs over 1000kg so down the straights its a little breathless how ever I think the guy in the gtr was a little supprised when it blew it off the road lol. Once again sorry if it intimidated any of you

Matt is a top bloke , and does most of the car himself , with a little help from Sandy Brown in the fettling departmant , this car is a well set up track beast for sure , and being a local he knows the track inside out .....

I think Martin is thinking of Spikey as he is the one that ran out of brake pads, thats a 205 with gti6 engine with TBs, a very quick car, I also had a play in the afternoon and had a scare when the clio spun right infront of me going through the esses, I had enjoyed catching up with it, I didn't speak to the driver afterwards.

I had a good day, I couldn't make it work in the morning, just couldn't find grip, the afternoon was great fun though.

Hi everybody thanks very much for attending the day.

Here's a copy of the email sent from Suzanne - our contact at Macmillan

Katie - thank you and Ben SO much for yesterday, we all had so much fun (a welcome change from the things that the Committee have done before!) Thank you for all your hard work, your patience and your amazing generosity to the Macmillan cause. We are so grateful to you, and can assure you that it will be well spent.
Just to let you know that the overall profit was £2691.34. The tombola raised 257, the simulator 70 and the tins 19.34.
We did enjoyed meeting you both, the drivers (we felt very brave!) and all the other people at the track, they are such a nice, friendly bunch and made our day. Many, many thanks. We wish you the best of luck with your 'new' venture and a Very Happy Christmas. Suzanne

Numbers were down a bit on previous years which meant we weren't able to make the ~4k we've made previously but still a good amount raised.

We will keep you posted if we do an event next year - All of the Saturdays are taken but we may consider doing a Friday event.

Thanks to Castle Combe for their help and to my better half Katie who does such a good job organising these events. This was the 6th Charity Trackday Katie has organised and in total these events have raised ~£18k.
