Haynes Track Day Manual -any good?

As per title, does anyone rate this book for someone looking to do trackdays in the future (next couple of years perhaps)? Is it worth the outlay?

I always feel books like these are for people to buy other people who are into the subject matter when they haven't got any present ideas. But not having read it I cannot really comment. It may be great and if it reinforces the overtaking rules and use of mirrors then I'd like every new trackdayer to get it!
