Anybody coming out to play on this one? smile

Fingers crossed it'll be dry as I'm still yet to drive Oulton in good conditions.

Hopefully there'll be less stoppages than the last FE day, although I don't really think that was their fault.

confused Was going to do this Track Day, but due to the adverse weather conditions and the apparent sub zero temperatures until the end of next week and maybe more, I think I will "hang slack" and see if the weather warms up as funds may be utilised better in February or beyond? scratchchin

I rang up and cancelled my spot on this one yesterday.

I've had a look on the usually spot-on Metcheck.com and it's predicting snow at Oulton from 17.01 - 22.01... Plus I'm in the process of swapping my car and with waiting for the DVLA to re-issue a non-personalized plate, I'm not certain I'll have a car in time.

i popped across to oulton on sat for a quick gander. im booked on the focussed events day at oulton on 6th feb so wanted to check out how things were running. got there to watch the post lunchtime rush out onto track. there werent too many cars out generally and the standard seemed ok. There was one clown who totally outbraked themselves heading into lodge, locked up and narrowly missed colliding with someone!

I was with the guy with the GT3.

Good day. Marshalls were excellent and the standard of driving was really good. Been on other track days were the standard was awful.

That Escort cosworth was bloody quick shame about the noble.

the gunmetal grey GT3? was stood on the pit wall in awe watching it fire down the straight - looked and sounded fantastic. I watched the cossie head out at a similar time and crikey it looked fast!

Yep the Gunmetal one!! The cossie was really quick the 4wd really helped it get the power down coming out of the bends which is where the GT3 struggled. Still the GT3 is only 1 1/2 months old so he was taking it fairly easy.

Is that an instructor that got out of the passenger seat? Any chance the driver was showing off to the crowd as he had the initial slide under control before it snatched back.

No Rich i don't think he was.It was quite slippy out there. Track had not been used for 6 weeks before this event and there was crap all over it. It did dry during the day but still a bit slippy.
