Tyre prices on the up?

Anyone else finding tyres, particularly Toyo 888's are increasing in price? Various threads on a couple of forums suggesting the new Toyo R1R coming in at a price equivalent to the 888's and the 888's are going up. Online prices varying as much as 25% on the same tyre from suppliers normally pennies apart.

Anyone go any idea?

I think the yokohama's I use have gone up by 12-15% over the last year.

I just put it down to the week pound meaning imported goods are more expensive.

How much you looking at for R888's? I need to buy some next month, but was thinking about going back to AO48's.
