As above, really.

I'm considering doing a track day at either the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, or the Silverstone Historic Grand Prix circuit. What's the difference between the two?

The only real difference is the omission of the 90º left at the end of Vale which instead takes a smoother & faster line to the apex of Club.

Thanks smile for clearing that up for me - I was completely baffled & couldn't find a track layout anywhere!

Looks like I'll be going for Historic, I think Club suits being a quick(er) corner.

Quite like the look of the Arena circuit - might even give Silverstone another chance. I do wish they'd put some elevation changes in though.

My mind is now at rest. I could notunderstand how I was slower on the GP track this year compared with the historic one in 2008. Now I know !! Many thanks.

Changes from GP to Historic are:

As already posted Vale goes from a 90 left to a more flowing left, increasing speed through Club.

Abbey goes from a chicane to a fast left, increasing speed through bridge significantly!!

The historic GP track is rarely used, and as far as I am aware has not been used for trackdays recently, so will be a chance to have a play on a layout of the GP that few people have enjoyed.

Looking forward to playing on it.

Bridge GP is the 2009 GP config.
Arena GP is the new one.
Historic Bridge is the one we are talking about.
