Oulton Park - Saturday 30th January with Circuit Days
Discussion
Hi there,
Just a quick roll call to see who is out on track on Saturday at Oulton Park with Circuit Days.
Me and my business partner will be there in our VW Golf GTi which is having its first run out since having some major work done.
After the oil temperature and pressure problems that cut our last track day short the car has had a new oil pump, breather pipe, baffled sump, oil cooler and a few other bits and bobs.
Also got a new set of fully adjustable coilovers and a sexy new OMP steering wheel.
Really looking forward to the day, any of you going ? and what are you driving ?
Regards
Tim

Not sure how many turned up from here but there was at least one.
1. PistonHead

2. Good Looking Ferrari, while it was still in one piece.

3. Slow-mo panning shot around druids

4. Hmmmm.... that cement dust looks like it might cause an issue

5. White Out!

6. Not content with trying to get the fastest speed through druids, this drive decided to try it backwards.

7. Puuuurty!

8. Not so good looking Ferrari

9. Failed the Sound Check @116dB. Had to and the extra silencer

10. Nice sounding Audi R8.

Hi there,
Had a superb day at Oulton Park yesterday.
Our car ran good as gold all day, no mechanical problems and the upgrades we have had done have made a real difference to the handling and driveability.
In all I think we did about 50 laps each during the day.
Also had a chat with Paul at the end of the day, nice to meet you fella and you really know how to pedal that Astravan. You must be bloody quick in the Atom !!
Here are a few pics I took while I was out of the car and my business partner was driving.
No trackside access so some of the shots are a bit boring as there mainly panning shots. C&C welcome as always.
1) Lodge corner and very pretty Impreza

2) Another Subaru, this one had a huge turbo and sounded superb

3) More panning this time one of the many E36 BMW's that were out on track

4) Back to Lodge and a gorgeous MKII Escort RS2000

5) Even the American Goldrush had less panning than this thread

6) As the light fades another nice BMW negotiates Druids

7) Heres one of Paul making an Astravan do things it was never supposed to

8) Finally a shot of my track steed. Its low, very low. Next up is the rollcage, decent seats and some new wheels.

Hope you like them.

its not much of a bend but they is quite a crest. From what i understand the driver changed gear just as he went over the crest and floored it, lost the back end, it snapped left and hit that barrier before bouncing across over to the right.
This. The back got light when he changed for third for fourth, lost the back and hit the outside barrier 3 time before spinning back across and hitting the pitwall
