im looking to do a trackday at the end of the month, on either a monday or wednesday, and must be open pit lane.

my car is a E46 328CI.

my track experiance is 10 laps around castle combe ( 4 in a focus and 6 in a formula ford), and 20 mins around silverstone in a mk4 astra SRI turbo.

so what would be recomended? that has some nice corners, but pleanty of room for if i get it wrong?

cheers

For max runoff this end of the country you should be looking at silverston or bedford IMO.

bedford is what i was thinking, and there seems to be pleanty of TD's there for a reasonable price.

although i did like silverstone, but TD's seem quite rare and expensive.

or are there any other options.

as for tuition how much would i be looking for say a 30 min session?

Depends who you book with as some give free 30min tuition. In the past I've paid about 70p/min for tuition.

Down here you've got brands, combe, bedford, silverstone. but combe and brands have poor runoff.

ive just booked bedford on the 22nd with focused events for £89, which seems a very good price for open pit lane.

and selected a 20 min tuition session for £25.

Nice. I reckon you'll have a good time.

One thing about Bedford, though, is that they have one of the most strict noise limits anywhere in the UK. Have you checked this out too? What car are you taking?

yes its 100DB, but im sure my standard E46 328CI will be no where near that, even at full revs.
