Evo test cars around one of the circuits at Bedford. This includes cars like the Lambo Murci LP670-4.

Now there's no way that would get under the noise limits for a trackday, so does Bedford have special dispensation for higher limits at other times? In which case, why is the limit so strict (the most strict of UK circuits IIRC)?

i believe they do. Last time we did a track day up there we were black flagged for being slightly over the drive by limit. Then at lunch some formula ford or similar single seater cars were using the track for testing, and they were considerably louder than all the cars that were black flagged that day (unless my ears need recalibrating)

The same noise limits apply to all cars on the track at Bedford, including Evo tests and the race cars (either F2 or FPA). All the MSV/PalmerSport cars run additional silencers, if required, to ensure they get under the limit.

They do have a set amount of "high limit" days for special events but these are not given to Evo. If you read Evo regularly you will see that some cars do not get timed because of excess noise. The one strike and out rule applies to everyone.

Hope this helps.
