First track day of the year for MSE, (and me).

What a day, even though the forcast was for snow, it was fine all day.

A well organised day with an open pit format.

It took a about 3 outings to get the right tyre pressures for a winters T/D, all thanks to Irling, ,(is that the correct spelling?),their chief instructer.

You wouldn't believe that an extra 5 lbs in the triple 8's over summer temps was necessary.

The old tiv stormed on and it never fails to surprise me how an old car can perform so well!

Were you there?

HCM.

Erling is reportedly owed £1M now that Jenson is F1 WDC.

I was the guy with the grey Corrado. Sorry I was always on my slowing down laps when you came past.
Good day today. I think the cold temperatures helped the tyre wear considerably today (or maybe I just wasn't going fast enough!) but happy to have completed the day without breaking anything to be honest.

Good day. My next MSE day will be at Colerne at the end of May I believe.

I've done Keevil, Colerne and Hullavington and enjoyed them all although I think Colerne and Hullavington are the best layouts. Keevil also killed my tyres even in the wet. Will be at Hullavington at the end of March (silver Exige).

I was there yesterday, I was driving an old 325i(captain slow) My mates were also driving old stters, White golf gti and a red mr2. Had a bloody marvelous day and it always puts a smile to my face overtaking a lot of cars that cost many thousands of pounds in cars that came off the scrap heap lol.

Agreed, nice one Martin.

I was in the white 944 S2, first outing for the car after a big round of upgrades (a very wet Silverstone session in December didn't really count - as I couldn't push the car).

Thanks for the kind comments guys. I'm giving the trackdays a bit of a rest for a while now as i've got to concentrate on the racing this year, Hoping to get a test day in march somewhere to shake down the evo. Will do a few trackdays later on in the year in the new gt3, Hoping to do spa and a few more european tracks.

I was also out with AW in his porker, although I would like to point out neither of us were the "cone collector".

A great day out, and as usual I would like to apologise to anyone I held up...

had a drive over yesterday just to try to find it, as would like to do my first track day there. But my satnav just took me down a dead end which ended at a locked gate or a dirt track. Is that right?

Yeah not much there to look at. Just follow the signs for airfield and you can't go wrong.

The entrance is not in Keevil village, it is around the other side. My navigation skills deserted me my first visit, and it took me a little while to make it around to the south side of the air field. Next time I should follow the signs and not be clever and cut across country to Keevil village.
