The problem will be if you don't turn up and it's not cancelled, as there will be no refund.
I've always liked snow/cold/wet/icy days at the wider circuits, as there's not much chance elsewhere in the country to practice fast cold weather driving.
In the first instance I'd phone the organiser to check, but if the forecast for Beford is clear then they won't cancel it until it actually snows.
I've been there where the weather has gone from cracking the flags, to torrential rain to dense fog in less than an hour - and it wasn't cancelled.

I think Bedford was cancelled on Friday due to snow.
I was there yesterday and we were late out onto the track to try and let the last icy patches thaw out, but were up and running by 10am. Incredibly slippy out there all morningand there were a few spinners.
Unless the track is covered in snow, I'd assume it will be open.

The Goldtrack day at Silverstone last February was cancelled because of snow, and they emailed everyone the night before. Refunds all round.
The Goldtrack day at Silverstone yesterday went ahead with a late start (10pm) to allow the track to thaw out a bit. It was fine in the sun, but a bit scarey in the shade.

I don't get why the Focussed events chap said that a snow plough had been attempting to clear the track - did anyone actually see a snow plough?
Also, what is the point of them taking your mobile number when you book if they can't even be bothered to send a text to people to say the day is most likely to be cancelled. We left a very dry and bright Shropshire at 5:30am only to find conditions deteriorate rapidly as soon as we left the M1, by that stage we guessed that the day wasn't going ahead but as we were then so close we continued on to Bedford anyway.

Sniff - im sure the circuit have numerous machines at their disposal. I regularly see huge rotating brushes hitched up to the back of a tractor clearing the circuit in the morning. A snow plough attachment on a site the size of Thurleigh business park/Bedford Autodrome doesnt sound unrealistic.
Whats the use in them sending you a text in the morning, or the night before saying "it likely be cancelled"? If you decide not to go because of the text and the trackday still goes ahead you would go ballistic!
trooperiziz said the previous day managed to get going (after a while) so no doubt Bedford/Focused assumed they had a chance of doing the same. If there is a chance of running they won't cancel in advance.
It's a real kick in the nuts - especially after travelling so far, but you can't guarantee anything until its happened - especially when it involes the weather in this country!. Vent your anger on the dog - or the missus.
