My friend and I are looking at doing a day at Silverstone (GP circuit) at some point this year with a 993 and possibly a 964. Does any one have any recommendations regarding suitable trackday companies offering the GP circuit.

We both have a reasonable level of experience at several ciruits and have used BookaTrack, EasyTrack and so on previously, but would welcome any suggestions...

Gold Track do a lot there. Did a day last year with them, and although not the cheapest, they seem very efficient.
I'm about to book the 11th March with them.

Easytrack every time for me, especially with that precious metal that you mention.

Gold Track

Not cheapest but best when it comes to organisation.

yep another vote for melindi. Expensive but the general lack of nobbers and zero tolerance of them makes it worth the cost.

ditto

Well organised days with a very low muppet count.

Another vote for Gold Track from me. Very well organised, no problems with muppets/chavs taking unnecessary risks. Highly recommended!

Good point made about spending a few more hard earned beer tokens and avoid the nobbers (I like that term...so perfect) it makes for a more enjoyable and safer day. I think we'll give them a whirl...
Thanks again guys....

Their download brochure is from 2005, will this make any difference?

I want to do some track days this year, I have been put off by stories of careless hoodies driving at the cars they can't afford with a degree of satisfaction. If Gold Track manages to avoid that, I'm in!

email melindi at goldtrack.co.uk or call them, on 01327 361361 and I imagine she'll be more than happy to send you any info you need. No affiliation etc apart from a happy customer for more years than I care to remember. I'm taking the CS out at silverstone on 25th march may be I might see you.

PCGB also run a Silverstone GP day. End of July. It's £30 more than a Goldtrack day but benefits from being open pitlane (most Goldtrack days are 2 groups per hour). I like the Goldtrack evening sessions they run in the summer - about half the price of a full day and run as open pitlane.

I'd concur with Goldtrack. I did a day at Silverstone on the 20th Feb and it was a cracker.

Although Silverstone's a bit of a mess. Piles of mud everywhere, only the National circuit is open, the warning light system isn't working (so that flashing yellow light is actually a JCB!) and some of the new tarmac is a bit scarey - there's a huge bump on the exit from Becketts, just where you're getting back on the power for the Club Straight.

Oh dear, I've just booked a day with the Mistubishi Evo club on the South Circuit, getting a little worried now as I suspect the 'nobbers' count will be quite high (especially as I'll be taking my Ultima GTR so there'll be a target car to pass if ever I've seen one).

Lady who took the booking seemed quite nice though and they've all been very friendly on the forum so fingers crossed it goes okay...
