Was anyone else from here at Bedford yesterday? I had a pretty lousy time of it in my Fury (black/yellow), I had so little grip in the wet I reckon I could have gone faster in my diesel work van! It was entertaining going sideways to start with, but after my fourth spin (whilst still going so slowly that every man and his dog was passing me!) I thought I would call it a day before my luck ran out and I got collected by a faster car. The brakes and tyres (rock hard Falkens that seem impossible to wear out) never got any heat in them and it just felt horrible to drive. R888's on order, roll on summer!

I was there with my Europa. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The GT circuit is a perfect track day venue. Shame the rain returned in the afternoon, as the 1pm-3pm session was pretty dry throughout.

Yep - i was there in the morning in the 130i. really enjoyed it but it was very slippy - even with my modest power i had a lot of scary moments... Great fun though!

Good day but pretty slippery. Managed to have 2 spins (one on slicks in the wet).

Shame the afternoon session got stopped after 15 mins to let the Porsche boys have their siting laps though as I was just queing up to go out and then the session was red flagged for them.

Also managed to have a blow out on the M1 on the trailer on the way home.

I was there too, had a great afternoon but the morning was pretty crap (went a bit off-road in the red noble on that very slippery corner). I agree about the session stopping just after lunch being a pain, i managed to get one fast lap before the flag, then i had to wait about an hour for the que to go down but i had a great afternoon!

I was there as a spectator with the BMW 5 series forum, thoroughly enjoyed my day out and was good to meet and chat to some like minded folk. Saw you lose the Noble metalman, didn't think you were hammering it too hard at that particular corner, and to be fair, once you'd removed the grass and mud from your front splitter, (which i expected to have suffered damage, but surprisingly seemed fine!) you did jump straight back on the horse!

I did take some pictures which i'll post later tonight if no one minds. If there are any cars in particular, let me know and i'll see if I managed to catch them on film, otherwise it'll be a generic set.

Thanks for the heads up Thorny, it appears I wasn't as heroically broadside as I thought! Or maybe the photographer didn't catch my awesome sideways car control on film . . . yeah, that was it whistle

Rtv,

Have you got anything of the white BMW with the number 3 on the side.

I had the camcorder going inside the car but everytime I came in it said there was a corrupt file.

Any ideas anyone?

That's funny - me neither! I think they must have missed my sideways action as well...

Yeh that was me and needless to say Dan has not taken the pee at all. When I left the pits it was hardley raining but within 3/4 of the lap it poured down but I had Dan coming up behind me and it was too tempting to pull in so I foolishly decided to do 1 more lap. Lesson learnt.

Just glad Dan didnt spin in sympathy after me.

Me too mate, he was close behind you and I though for a split second that he was going into you! I missed it with my camera unfortunately, but there you go! Did dan get footage of your spin from his car?
