Anyone going to this?

From looking on YouTube the track looks a bit small and go-kartish (60seconds per lap). Not sure I'd get much out of 2nd gear. But its cheap, so I might just pop along in the 430 for a couple of hours, as I'm up t'Norf visiting my folks.

There's a twisty section that will be a little bit micky mouse for a 430 the the rest should be fine. I had a customers GT3 doing 120mph at the end of the straight...http://thetrackdayclub.com/

...and one day last year we had a full race GT3R doing 135mph according to its datalogger! The lap is just over a mile and it should be just under a minute. But it's a great little track. I had my doubts initially until we started running track days there, but having driven all sorts of stuff around it now, I think it's a great little track!

Teeside is "tops" for value for money. Breakfast cob and a proper lunch are included.
Some sections of the circuit are tight but still require you to learn the lines properly to get the best out of your car.
The resident instructor, Tim, was very helpful to us in our hour of need. It was the first time out for our Phoenix and after a few laps in the car he helped us to diagnose a few handling issues.
We got loads of tracktime and will definately be going again.
We've fitted a new fuel pump and new front tyres Tim!! Remember us??
Geoff & Eldon.

[/pic]I did the last Teeside day and found it probably the best value for money trackday out there.Everyone is helpfull and friendly. The included breakfast and lunch would cost about £12.00 at Oulton Park and it also means that you get to meet other people with the same interest. There is also a cart race to finish off with.
I have done a few trackdays at the old Anglesey Circuit which was about the same length and was enjoyed by people with a variety of cars of all sizes and power outputs. No one moaned about that.
Also you will note that all the days have been published and the prices are the same throughout the year when other trackdays will be pushing £300.00.
I will definitely be doing the others.

I can echo what has been said, a nice relaxed day! Did you guys get the understeer sorted out then?! Some sections of the circuit are tight but still require you to learn the lines properly to get the best out of your car.

I have just booked it. Went on one last year and was pleasantly surprised. Can't be bettered in terms of value, and the cart race at the end is a good laugh. I'll be there in silver Elise if anyone is there and wants to say hello.
Cheers, Mark
.... Look forward to seeing you there, again! I think the weather is set to be good too!! HowardCheers, Mark
Just been for a 1:1 tutor session at Teeside today with Andy McKenna (search for Ice Driver) and it was great. Very technical circuit with a couple of really testing corners (the complex and South Bank both bring different challenges).
Best laps of the day were 54.5 and 54.6s - so well worth the money for the tutoring. Great bloke and great little track.

Teeside is a pretty basic track but Howard's coaching is spot on. If you want to advance your driving pace, and improve technically away from busy circuits then I can recommend Howard, he is spot on. I taught him everything he knows!
