Get some tuition (they should have intercoms for open cars)?

Not really for the car control - although they may be able to offer pointers - but the instructor can bring you up to speed on lines, braking points etc. leaving you to focus on the driving.

Cheers Chris, that makes more sense than muddling round the track with no idea. Still got my fingers crossed for sunny spells though wink

I`ll be there, coaching in a caterham.

Hoping for some dry running, otherwise going to be a little damp by the end of the day.

Just be smooth, driving in the wet needs all inputs to be as smooth as possible.

Also keep away from standing water, and have a look around to find the grip, don`t just stick to the normal line, often more grip can be found off line. (The wet line)

Hope you enjoy your day.

Scotty

I did brands last year in the snow! Cracking day, split between a BEC (MK Indy with a 'Blade engine) and my MR2.

Just take it easy and build speed gradually. Lots of the corners at brands start to feed you in directions you don't necessarily want to go 'cos of the elevation and camber changes, and obviously this is worse in the wet.
I'd second getting an instructor to ride along early in the day, give you the tips you need.

Oh, and wear something waterproof!

Hi scotty, were you in the yellow caterham in the garage next to me?

was a great day in the end, rain first thing so took the oportunity to try and smooth out my driving (I'm a bit heavy footed), but it started drying off by 10:30 and didn't rain again until 2:30 wink

The day was well organised with only a few red flags for over enthusiastic drivers but all in all I think everyone was observant in mirrors and not doing anything really silly, so thumbs up to all that attended.

Here is a little video of myself, any critisism or praise welcome. VERY eager to improve.
