Mallory Park 10th April

Just got back from this track day, forgive me but I can't remember which TDO it was? Never been to Mallory Park before, but it's a nice little circuit. Weather was fantastic, sunshine the whole day and temperatures getting to abouy 18c at the hottest I think.

I was there in an orange Caterham R500, with a few mates who are now thinking seriously about getting into track days.

There was a blue mini with fibreglass body, mid-engined and slicks - that was circulating pretty quickly.

There was also an Audi R8 V10 which rumours were circulating the Paddy Mcarthy was driving... a.k.a The Stig from many series past.

Don't think I've ever seen so many cars burning oil in the exhaust though, at least 5 cars with smoky engines!

Oh and 209 miles... new record for me.. think that's 154 laps

Ha! The first thing I saw when I turned up was you drifting round the hairpin!

It was a really good day for it. I dropped in to give some support to a mate on his first day in the grey R32 skyline.

Never been to mallory in a car before, seemed OK, but a bit cramped at times.

This was my first trackday and my car did not make it unfortunately. But I did get to drive a few friends 205 GTI's (red and blue one), and also go in my brothers R32 Skyline. It was a great day and I am now trying to get my car fixed so that I can get to another day as soon as possible.

Yes, was a very nice day, which I'm especially thankful for as I can't imagine my first track-day would have been very pleasent if it was wet!
