Contemplating doing one of the Mazda on Track days at RAF Finmere, are they any good? Looks like good value on the web and the MoT track days are usually good, but I'm a little reluctant to book time off for a weekday event.

The surface looks pretty mixed, can see myself spending quite a bit of time airbourne! Still £65 for a whole day is hard to ignore - was there a reasonable amount of track time?

Yep can't moan at the track time, surface is v abrasive if dry tho, I did 4 rear tyres to canvas, I was just pure drifting tho rather than car control stuff.

MOT do have a silverstone day coming soon, better surface looks to be a good day & I'll be booking soon.

I can recommend it but as mentioned it is hard on tyres if you enter into the spirit of things (which you are very much encouraged to do, unlike a normal track day).

To be fair that is half the idea. I've got a set of manky hardened CR500s that I'm looking to finish off.

However, I do need to drive home on them, so I guess I need to be a little bit careful!

Might head over to the one on the 30th if I can get time off.
