Me and a mate are both involved in making our track car and are almost ready to take it out for its first day on the track soon. When i book a day (say bedford @ £169) is it a case of i have to pay for 2 people or is there a discount for people sharing cars? Or is it a case of different tracks different rules??

Cheers

Different track firms have different rules, there is normally a small fee for an additional driver.

You will have to pay a small supplement for a second driver, usually £10-£20, in addition to the trackday fee.

Depends on organiser, circuit-days do not charge for extra drivers and allow up to 4 of you to drive a car.

Don't forget that with the car being used essentially twice as much - it will probably be out on the track much more than a typical one car, one driver situation. This means it won't get as much chance to cool down between outings, and extra wear on brakes, tyres etc.

We,ve clocked up in excess of 250 track miles in a good day, fair bit of wear n tear but then the bills are halved so evens out..
