What a great day! I was there in the Orange R500 (there were two actually, mine was parked closer to the burger van) with a mate. Fantastic time, really exceeded expecatations.

Javelin had the day running very well, there were never too many cars on the track at once, and the circuit was interesting with some very technical corners.

Car was fine, didn't miss a beat. Had a great time towards the end of the day with a white car with a turbo rotary engine, 350bhp/700kg.

Good stuff, will definitely go again.

Your car was awesome... super-quick in a straight line and then when you went into a corner we were taking bets on when it would snap on you. Really enjoyed the laps that we were line-astern. smile

Also I think Tim Sherrington was taking some photos of the cars, hopefully he can put one or two of the good ones up. smile

I was there in the Red BMW e36 318iS. Had a great morning but broke and engine mount in the last session of the morning so that was the end of the day for me. Spent the afternoon as a passenger in my mate's silver S2000.

First time at Woodbridge for me too - I really enjoyed it, much better than my expectations. Even though it is an airfield, it really is quite an interesting track - good technical twisties and it's pretty cool driving between armoured hangers biggrin. Not quite as hard on tyres as I expected, but staying out for more than 3 laps at a time would see them peeling pretty quickly!

Got some videos to come.

Thanks Sarah - the day was very well run imo. Never too busy on the track and never had to queue for more than half a minute to get on.

All that effort to pass the white Caterham and then he spins it on the next corner! smile

I think I did misjudged an overtake on your mate on the short straight near the viewing area before the off-camber left... it wasn't too bad but if he said something rude about me then please apologise for me.

Haha, not at all - it's quite easy to misjudge the overtakes there, in all fairness he probably should have backed off a bit for you.

We did get some profanities on tape when you did pass, but only due to the surprise of the sheer speed of your car tongue out.

Hi All (Silver S2000 Driver here!)

I've still got quite a bit of footage to process, I'll get the videos done and uploaded into here smile

Good to see others echoing the good feeling from the day. Really enjoyed the track and I just felt let down by my brakes... again ! Need to work out what to do there ...

I was having real problems with my tyres overheating and loosing grip after 2-3 flying laps.. clearly a sign I should get cut slicks wink .. but yes, I came flying past the caterham only to find myself coming into the corner a bit quick, I knew on turn in I'd lost it, just goot I didnt end up sliding into traffic !

I don't remember any bad overtakes on the day... the only thing I remember (as always) on trackdays with the s2000 is people move over to let me past and I just don't have the straightline speed to back up the cornering ability so can't get past...

Happens to us all! The Sierra was super quick in a straight line (faster than the R500) but we could monster it in the bends and corners. Sat behind it for a couple of laps and then he lifted off on the straight to help me get past. I think it was running 600bhp or something nutty.
