Well, you can either buy some car specific subframes to attach to the seat and your car or have some made (make yourself if competant)

For practicality Id leave the original runners in place and fabricate adapters to enable you to mount your new seat on them. The alternative, to do the job properly, will involve some drilling and welding and youll have to select one fixed position for the seat.

Also depends what you intend to do, if its just track days, get yourself some Cobreau subframes that will fit your existing seat rails and except a Cobreau seat. This will enable the new bucket seat to be adjustable forward and bachwards and some have a tilt facility for access to rear seat passengers if it is a 3 door.
If its sprinting or rallying or anything that requires an RAC Logbook for the vehicle then a fixed subframe and fixed seat is required as a minimun. This generally involves welding, bolting and in some cases strengthening the floor pan, which is always a bit of a ball ache! smash

no rear seats, car cant go back to a road car, however adjustable would be nice. means other people can drive the car and makes it more sellable as a track car if i got fed up of it.
