Guys,

I bought a noise meter the other day on eBay and I think I am running 107 db when starting and then after a drive and a settle down 99 on idle and then 101-103 db on 4.5k+

So fking eco-lentalist s have basically ruined track days it seems. If you don't like noise don't move next to a fking race track you retarded fk-faces!

Anyway.. sweary rant over. I don't think I am going to make it, lord knows how any TVR gets on a track! So... I want to put exhaust baffles in, I don't give a hoot if the performance on my car is woeful, I got bought this by the Mrs and what with this and the chance of getting my (at the time on track ) uninsured car smashed up means I just want to get it over and done with.

I so wouldn't bother doing one any longer... I like the 'Ring but a UK track day is supposed to be a way of getting away from the rules of the road isn't it rather than having more nanny state bullst to deal with? I did a couple in a Jensen Interceptor ( interesting ) and a 944 and a 355 but I am just so worried about getting turned away. I'm contracting now so it costs a fortune to do this anyway and while I don't mind for something worth while but not for a drive to Bedford and back for no reason.

I guess its sad but in the aftermath of NuLabia's 'its 'elf & saaaaaftteeyyy innit' society you just have tp factor in all the risks and rent a car form a company and grit your teeth for an £800 bill rather than trackday + extra inusrance + wear on car + petrol + risk?

Whoa.. off topic there... where can I get some baffles?! smile

Awesome... if they work for TVR then I am MORE than happy with that. Cerb or Tuscan is my next car unless I really get won over by a 3200...

if this all works out I will get you some beer!

I bought one of those Ebay noise meters and it seems to read a bit higher than the circuits own noise readings.

My E36 M3 with a stainless decat and Scorpion backbox was only showing 99Db @4500rpm at Oulton yesterday.

I can't use the act products one as I have the twin up-swept and they are too close together to be able to get them both on, they need to be 10mm apart apparently.

I HATE it that track days have been ruined like this.. frown

Someone please help me? Aren't there those removable baffles that can be used, I think someone used them in a classic Muira, Jota article I read..

When I go to Bedford I just put my original back box on, quietens it right down. I've got a spare back box if you need it, PM me if you're interested.
