If the owner/driver of the silver BMW running at Oulton yesterday - the one being followed for around 8 laps by an orange Caterham - is on here, may I congratulate you for a fantastic drive. Looked like you'd over cooked it a few times there mate, and you did really well to hang onto it!!

Thanks for the fun and practice "following" you!! I really enjoyed it.

Cheers Bradders

Yes it is annoying when people do not let you past, but its a bit childish posting something on here - too scared to go up to the owner yesterday and ask why he wouldn't let you past? Finish your session, mention it to a marshall and maybe go up and ask if there is a reason he/she isn't moving over.

If it was so bad and you want some clear track, back off for a few seconds to find some space and get on with enjoying the day. Don't bottle it up and then try and have a go at them on a forum the next day when you are both at home...seriously!

Firstly, thanks Dave, I was indeed giving high praise - I even raised a thumbs up at one stage which was acknowledged with a friendly wave!

Matt - can I ask you to please re-read what I said, and let me know where you formed such a misunderstanding - I would like to assess whether my grammar was at fault. I guess if you read everything looking for a sarcastic undertone, then maybe that could be the reason.

For the record, I did indeed try and find the driver after coming in - to give him a pat on the back for one hell of a good time had by all. If I had found him, I would not have even posted - just thought he, or someone who knows him, may be a PH reader. I suspect he may have gone off-site, to fill up, as the on-site pump was not open at the time. I didn't get chance to share a joke about it all later.

It looked sarcastic to me! Coupled with the fact its quite often a BMW driver that doesn't let faster cars pass (smile) and the fact you are in a Caterham, I assumed the worst.

Whoops - apologies, I obviously got the wrong end of the stick!

No worries bud. Happens to us all at some point!

Have to say, don't taint all BMW drivers with the same brush - this chap knew how to drive, believe me! It was a most enjoyable "follow", I can assure you!

Hmm, could well have been. Was it an 04 plate? If it was you, congrats for holding it!! Great drive mate.

Guess you would have remembered waving at the Cat if it was. It was my passenger that remembered the plate - i was concentrating on the brake lights!! The search goes on....

Did any of you guys follow a Citroen Xsara, if so all I can say is sorry wink Although it was reasonable fun, chucking a french piece of censored around the track, 2.0HDis are not quick. But that was the first trackday I've done in a number of years where I had no worries about the noise test!

I felt even more daft having a garage as well, but at least I shared it with an Aston Martin to make up for it.

Yes mate, I followed you for a brief time. Looked like you were having a wail of a time. Think I may well try that one day for a laugh!

May well have some photo's of you also - think I've got one of you from the pit wall - will have a look tonight, and let you know.

Cheers Bradders.

Edited to add - this is the only shot I can find of you mate.
