Has anyone done a Motorsport Vision Track-Day Taster. £25 for 20 minutes with briefing and procession behind a pace car etc

Not done one but watched a couple that ran after the BTCC media day earlier in the year. Looks like you get about 10 laps or so. Seemed OK but I couldn't help but wonder if a novice track evening would give more value per lap. None of the cars really settled into position while I was watching, always someone to overtake or someone to be overtaken by. Good driving etiquette and a good range of cars.
yes have done them. if you've never done a TD i'd recommend them - at Brands you'd get about 12/13 'real' laps after the sighting laps. It can get a little nose to tail as newbies arent so sure of braking points etc, but you can always slow down a bit and create your own space. I've done it 2x and each time have booked for 2 sessions. in truth the second lot was earlier this year and i just wanted to get out on track and knew a few pals woudl go for it as they were new to the TD scene. Also ideal if you're worried/concerned about laying out £120 for an evening session that could be rainy - if its that bad its easier to write off £25 if you so choose.
I should think they are a good introduction actually. My only experience was at Snetterton some weeks ago where they had a taster session at the end of the day.
The guys taking part turned up early, wandered around and got a feel for the atmosphere etc before heading out for some laps. It will, however, infect you with the track day bug and leave you wanting more!

went on one last year msv at brands. would not recommend it at all tbh. attracts a noob/chav sort of crowd (when i went). people who wanted to rag their clapped out saxo's corsas etc. person in a gold tdi or so got black flagged on the first lap possibly due to the fact he was only inches from the car infront. found him ont he trak again a few mins later driving just as dangerously.
possibly marshals are tired by the end of their long shifts and people who attend are desperate to get their moneys worth
decided to call it quits early as was quite concerned about the poor standard of driving from the people that attended. maybe i was unlucky but in future i will stick to booking proper days or evening sessions not tasters
