Transporting wheels on Brian James

Has anyone got a photo or any advice on how to strap wheels down to a Brian James? I've got a high level tyre rack, wondering how to stop the wheels moving about when there are just four of them. The two rears are bigger diameter too, so wondering whether I should have the rears on one side, fronts on the other. Or all four on one side.

Any recommendations?

If you use 4 ratchet straps, you could try tying each wheel to the rack individually, by looping over the tyre, then under each of the two rails which support the wheel each side?

On mine the "swing over" bar radius is adjustable, so smaller wheels can go at one end and the larger the other....that of course assumes the difference in your wheel sizes aren't larger than the adjustable amount.

As my wheels/tyres are near enough the same size, I left the bar set parallel and put the slightly smaller ones on the inside of the larger and each pair at the outer side of the trailer. Then the tie strap goes in the middle pulling the bar down on all four with a slight bend.

Ah - didn't realise you could have a different radius at each end of the bar, will try that out tonight. Thanks

If yours doesn't have that feature then you could try cable tiying a couple of lengths of wood to reduce the size on part of the bar.
