Normally, the Sunday evening before our Monday trackday has been spent at the Chequers on the village green... but Barry has sold up and moved on!

The new owners no longer do meals on Sunday evenings.

Anyone know anywhere decent nearby that I could use as our 'base', for Sunday evening stopovers to be fed and watered?

If I can't find anywhere, it's going to spoil what has always been something to look forward to.

Thanks,
Nick

We have stayed a few times at the Clowbeck on the outskirts of Croft. It is set back away from the road. Ideal if you have trailer/security in mind. Oh, and nice place/hosts.

Northalleton high street is not too far, is a fairly nice place of the world.

Thanks guys,
Clowbeck, it's a nice place.. but not right for the lads who want a boozer.
and I love Northallerton already - I always drive up that way instead of using the A1, some cracking looking pubs there.

Seems like we have all settled on the Black Bull at Gt Smeaton for a drink and a meal and then back to the circuit for the evening for a laugh around the camp fire.

Thanks again
