Insurance renewal time and the quotes I am getting differ to the tune of £300 depending on whether or not I have track cover included.

As I didn't get on a track at all last year, and the next twelve months looks doubtful due to an impending operation I'm likely to opt to save myself £300.

However, does anyone know any companies offering day only cover and at what approximate cost? Just in case I do get the chance.

TIA.

www.moris.co.uk

I think it's about 1% of value an 10% excess.

I used Moris last year to cover my Megane valued at £11k at the time, it cost me £75 for a days cover at the track and had a £1100 excess.

or competition car insurance, again typically 1% of sum insured with a 10% excess.

Thanks Guys.

I finally got my renewal down to £400 excluding track cover so even if I manage two days at about £100 a pop I'm probably better off than the cheapest quote which (may have) included track cover.
