well spotted. I only looked at CD website a few days ago and that wasn't up there. I would have thought they would have been plugging it like mad. Time to put my money where my mouth is and help Donington get back to business

Seems quite unreal and surely exciting. What's the circuit layout going to be like though ? Are other TDOs planning days as well ?

Apparently the circuit is still the same as it was before, no layout changes.

Should be fun. After driving round donnington on the PC with the G25, I can't wait to get to drive round for real.

I think it is being worked on most probably, but Donington Park WWW has not even information about it. I assume there is no guarantee it will be ready, although it's likely - perhaps Circuit Days guys could clarify ?

I hope they haven't changed the layout. I wasn't planning another track day this year, but if Donington does reopen I might not be able to resist. I used to love track days on this circuit in my RX-8. Probably wont be as much fun in my S3, but would be fantastic to be charging down the cramer curves again soon.

I heard 98db, which sounds ominous... Hoping that is wrong.

I know the company who are running the track. Track will be original and not altered. And it will be ready for the dates given including some dates in August.
Bike trackdays by No limits are 108db I think

I'm sorry to correct you on that, but the track has changed, ........ the turning point for Goddards chicane has been moved back & turns right at the same point as the left turn into the GP loop. Basically the straight out of Coppice is shorter, & the start/finish straight is longer. HTH Howard

Not true. The 98dB limit is from the trackside and catches quite a few cars out.

Really ? Blimey, they must be noisy for that kind of sound level from several Metres away. What kind of cars ?

We have always struggled with BEC's there, new air box and monster silencer seems to have calmed it down, measured 101 static at Cadwell so confident of 98 drive by.

Often used to see cars with 6" silencers hanging onto tail pipe there, allegedly all the problems come from just one local whom complains regularly, probably doesn't phone to complain whilst a 767 is flying overhead though would be hard to hear ?

Allsorts. Seen plenty of Turbo Jap Barges (Evos, scoobys etc) as well as 911 RS's, exiges, Ferraris and almost anything with exposed inlets (VHPD caterhams, JPE caterhams, westfields on carbs etc etc).

Is it possible to get the new circuit diagram online or photos to get the idea how different it is going to be?

Track changes only very marginal - similar to the old National layout with minor changes at Goddards. Map should be on our site shortly.

All work on course to be completed in the week prior to the weekend of the 14th/15th August. Most of the previous circuit staff will be employed (I am told) with the old 98dB drive by noise limit. It is trackside.

You will be fine in standard R300/R400 Caterham's, GT3's etc. GT3 RS's will be close. I have seen plenty go through without a problem, I have also seen a fair few fail.

Sunday 29th of August added to the calendar today.
