Having just been on the Audi Driving Experience day at Silverstone yesterday, I could not more highly recommend it. A thoroughly well organised and run day. Great instructors, helpful and friendly staff and three great cars. Audi TTS, S5 and R8 V10. Not cheap but I definitely think you get your monies worth. My first track experience were I was always in a car (apart from 2 briefings and lunch) either as the driver or passenger and I think there is a lot to be said for no queuing or waiting around.

Now just got to save up for an R8! What a great car.

I was thinking of getting this for my hubby for his 40th birthday, either this or the silverstone challenge. Cant decide between the two.

To me the biggest plus of the way this day was run was that apart from lunch and short briefings I was always in a car, either as a passenger or driver. Hoping to do the Advanced Driving Experience soon!

You get given the chance to really get a good idea what the cars can do. The morning is based on three different activities and for example the ABS testing is done with the R8. This gives you the chance to floor it and get a really good idea on the aceleration possible and then the brilliant braking. In the afternoon you get to drive each car for 7 laps. Slow first lap, 5 fast laps and then one "cooling" lap at the end. You rotate position behind the instructor and generally you can push the car without abusing it.
