I know that you have to drive around 7.30 minutes with a Corvette Z06 to be really fast on the Nordschleife.
What are the times with a 1,000 cc superbike?

Cheers!

Around 7.32 with Brendan Kierle on board..... He did a load of tests for Performance Bikes magazine (along with Dale Lomas of BTGMotorsports fame around 2007 IIRC), prior to breaking his back and various other limbs. Fully recovered now though.

IIRC that was BTG, not a full lap?

there are a few YouTube instances of Brendan giving it large of touristenfahren days winding through the traffic leaving black lines out of most of the corners...

Andy Carlile is reasonably brisk too. I think he's gone sub 7:30 BTG.

I think it was an hour and 50 minutes for me, but that did include stopping for some photos, analyzing some of the circuit and walking up kesselchen! wink

Six years ago Autosport ran an article about B.A.R. Honda Test Driver, Anthony Davidson "breaking the Nürburgring Nordschleife Lap Record" in the team's F1 simulator. They used an apparently very accurate copy of the circuit taken from one of the leading computer games (don't know which one). The simulator (a proper simulator where the driver is actually sitting in a car) is usually pretty accurate, lap times on most of the GP circuits being only tenths different to real life, because it's literally used to simulate testing and accumulate data that is then used at the actual circuit. Davidson's best simulated lap in the 2004 B.A.R. Honda F1 car was a 5:50.4!!!
