Tyre Repair

I've just had to have two repairs in one of my rear tyres, due to nails in the tread, how unlucky...

Anyway I was after some opinions on how this might affect the integrity of the tyre on track as I'm planning a track day before the weather gets cold and horrible.

I could replace the tyre but it is only weeks old and was three figures

Is your car worth more than the tyre?

You may get away with it, but IMHO you shouldn't scrimp on safety when entertaining track days - the cars, tyres, etc will take more punishment in one track day than many thousand road miles...

If the tyres were repaired by a proper tyre fitters they should be fine, providing you didnt damage the tyre wall by driving on them whilst they were flat......others will disagree but I wouldnt waste money on a fresh pair until you have trashed that one.
