Anyone done one of these? My misses got me the 'ultimate driver's choice' (don't know whether I'm the ulitimate driver or have the ulimate choice though ) for my birthday and I need to choose between Circuit racing, Single seater, Rally, Caterham or Lotus Elise days.

If anyones done one of these and can recommend it I'd be grateful cos' I'm really struggling to choose.

If the circuit days are the "experience" type they're a bit crap IMHO I did the Palmer Audi one at brands, and would have been v-dissappointed if it hadn't come free with something else (forget now)

Caterham slalom days are a good laugh, you don't get much time in the car but you do get to give them a right royal spanking

I went rally driving for the first time last Wednesday at Preswold Hall, Leicestershire.

Excellent day out. I would defiantly book again.

I second the rally driving choice. I've done the 'Red Letter Days' single seater and another organiser's (can't recall who) rally experiences, the rally course being vastly more fun.

The circuit course was disappointing, given that no actual racing occured there was far too much time devoted to the 'rules of the track' and only a couple of laps in anything resembling a racing car.

I Did the Ian Taylor (I think) day at Thruxton. A good day out and worth the money, having said that I didn’t pay for it. Ended up in the formula Renault, after a Formula Ford and some road cars. Did feel they had the rev limiters set a bit low but it was a wet day. Better fun however, in my opinion are the Hill Climb schools, but you need to provide your own car.
