Thought I'd start this off with a recent example from Cadwell Park, a Raw Striker? and Seat doing a rolling road block:-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DU2JXiiOHs

Me being held up around Croft. Bumped into the lad a few weeks later aswell in a prime example of small world syndrome. He just thought it was a bit of sport
, pointed out politely that if someone catches up and sticks to your rear bumper they need really to be allowed to pass!

Would not bother following like that it's a waste of petrol, tyres etc. If you don't feel like you can get past slower drive quickly/easily and if a flash of headlight/horn/indicaters/showing front end in brake zone doesn't shift him, do a pit lane run.
Or just go up the inside on the brakes (I watch too much motogp I think?)Radical(ly) inexplicable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPLytulNuE8

The Fiesta driver looked like he was doing a good job, he was a lot quicker out of sunny out and through the complex than you were, if you had been closer coming onto the start finish straight you could have got past him.
Here's me at croft at the end of May this year.

I don't get why people won't let you past it's not a race right, so who cares? Far more interesting to see if you can keep up with somebody quicker rather than hold them up! Mostly though, I think you might as well back off a bit and then speed up again later, once they have a good lead.

You've got a "modified Focus RS", he's got a 1990 Fiesta.
Well done for being faster than him on the straights.
hardly the point though is it?Well done for being faster than him on the straights.
why people can't stick to the "if someone's in your mirrors that wasn't there before, move over" rulei don't understand. would make life so much easier and enjoyable for everyone.
edited to add, that is a rule at trackdays isn't it?

I'm pleased bike TD's don't run the same over taking rules as the car One's.
You're in cars which are quite wide, Croft isn't exactly the widest of circuits, so why not accept that you're going to get held up once in a while. Fair enough that the guy maybe should've moved over, but where's the thrill in driving round looking in your mirrors just in case someone catches up?
I got bored of it and switched to bikes a few years back and it is unbelievably better, primarily because you can overtake anywere at any time, the burden is on the overtaker to do it wit respect.
The best one though is finding yourself on track with professional racers and trying to tag onto the back of them.
Earlier this summer, TDers at Silverstone were treated to a day with Nicky Hayden and Randy de Puniet on standard bikes, whilst they learned the track. That's about the equivalent of Hamilton and Kubica turning up at a car TD.
As for BN posting a video of him at Croft, having seen him hand a couple of BSB riders (equivalent of BTCC for bikes) their arse on track it's impressive if you know what you're doing.
