Hi all, got a depressing milestone birthday coming up and need something to take the sting out of it. Really wanting to do some single seater trackday stuff. Looking to pay a bit more and do something with extended time in the car and basically lasts all day.
Ive done trackday experiences in the past and whilst enjoyable wanting more than the 5-6 laps you normally get.
Ive had a look around and only thign suitable seems something along these lines http://www.racing-school.co.uk/driving/intensive-t...
Can anyone give any recommendations? Many thanks in advance

ten laps in a mini, 20 in the fford with 5000 max rpm, then whatever they consider to be full race revs (which could be anyones guess) but if the engine is detuned, which may be the case, what is full revs going to be like anyway? three sisters is not really that well suited to cars and in fourth you should hit 5000 rpm pretty quickly on the back straight and the only fun will be taking the right hander over the hill faster and faster. it will be circuit one on the link http://www.three-sisters.co.uk/circuit.asp if you look at it on google earth you will get an idea of how narrow the circuit is for a car.

how about this instead? http://www.palmersport.com/palmersport-formula.asp...

Palmer Jaguar SP1 prototype
Formula Jaguar single seater
Caterham Seven Superlight

and its cheaper.....

Rockingham do an event as well which may suit - I did the Forumla 1 experience a few years ago which was a lot of fun!

The Palmer half day is AMAZING. So much seat time and the driving is VERY fast and intense! Its on another planet to the other stuff out there simply because the venue at Bedford is NOT a race circuit and is purpose designed with nothing to really hit! Therefore you are encouraged and allowed to really find the car and your own limits.

The single seaters have trick GPS on them which cuts the ignition if you go too far off circuit as well.

Can't rate it highly enough.

The full day is even better though wink

Think im going to go for the palmer one, not too fussed about the 4x4 stuff. Just weighing up the extra cost of the half day to the full day. It says there can be up to 120 people per day which seems alot but i suppose the groups once divided up wont be that large

Normally teams of 20.

You WILL be as impressed with the slickness and professional way that they move you around and generally look after you, as you are with the amazing cars and driving experience.

I really would do the whole day though... its epic!
