Taking me Westfield Megablade along but a bit worried about making the 100db noise limit (first time out for the car) so may just be there to get noise tested and then turned away!!!

I'm pretty sure its over the 100db but would like Motorsport Events to tell me just how much, as it is mainly their events I want to attend.

Lets hope the weather is better than Hullavington...

I'm sure you know this Nick... but when I last attended a Motorsports events day, I tested 102 db - so did the usuall:

Make sure the engine is REALLY warm
Hold clutch down whilst testing
Make sure the car exhaust exit is over grass not concrete
Make sure there are no cars nearby to reflect noise
Accelerate UP to the required revs (slowly)
If engine is 'popping' drive about a while to get any excess moisture out of the system

The car retested at 99.8 db

Having said that I've known some blades, and I think you may be well over (I had to put a new exhaust on my R500 to get anywhere NEAR 100).

Good luck

Steve
