can anyone suggest where i can road test my now finished custom car for top speed. I want to video the event and for obvious reasons i can't use public roads. The car has a limiter set at 155 mph i really want to know how she feels at that speed. eek

assuming it's not super-loud, Bruntingthorpe, you can rent by the hour.

a top speed day on a runway,

You would need serious power to reach that speed on uk tracks, and just by looking at your car I doubt corner exit speed would be too high.

Bruntingthorpe won't be long enough to actually reach vmax I suspect, but if you do a VMax* day, you will:

a) have a brilliant day; and

b) get a pretty fair idea of what its capable of

(*I've not done one for ages so I'm simply assuming they still happen, there is a dedicated forum on here.)

If it's limited to 155mph, you should reach that at Bruntingthorpe even with those aerodynamics.

My M3 reached a genuine 164 mph there, and it has less power than yours.

They still happen but get booked out very quickly.. I suspect the OP would be better off paying for an hours track time (relatively reasonable prices I understand)

Seriously though, you'll get some epic front end lift I would imagine. I'd look at installing a front splitter before you even start.
