Anyone done a track day at this airfield. What is it like?

I am looking for a new local venue to try.

Cheers

Have done days with Javelin there. Well organized and very strict re overtaking on the left etc.

There are a couple of straights and some good twisty sections around the back.

I have done a couple of trackdays at Woodbridge. There tends to be a fair amount of loose stones on the surface so stone chips are very common. Also watch out for the landing lights in the tarmac in certain places as these have been known to damage sumps on particularly low cars.

Apart from that, there is plenty of run off and it's a good place to explore the limits of your car. Personally, I would rather use Snetterton, but depends what you are looking for.

Thanks James,

I use Snetterton alot and was only there a couple of weeks ago. I want to do something different this time and have another reason to go to Woodbridge.

Are the straights at Woodbridge as long at Snetterton?

Cheers

No.

Woodbridge is a good place to find the limit of your car without hitting anything too solid.

Eddy it was good to meet you at the Chav show at Snett in October.

Woodbridge is really underrated, definitely worth a trip there.

Here's a video from my last trip there:

Good fun but there are a lot of surface changes but all with quite low grip levels and mostly relatively slow corners so I found myself sliding a lot. Good fun but tyre wear was high.

Also don't be fooled into a sense of security by the lack of gravel traps and crash barriers. When I was there a car slid onto the grass and rolled. I've seen this at 2 airfield days now..

I have seen cars roll on track days at race circuits.
