Snetterton have told me my cans will not be allowed next time as they are over 150mm (275mm) past the bodywork. Anybody else had this problem its not in any track day rules! Only those which organIsers don't bring our attention to.

I believe it applies only to cans without a 'rolled' rim? And 200mm?

The cans on mine are the TVR ACT type which are clamped on, and extend from the rear. the sound guy contacted the office and they repied that I woud not be allowed there next time, its in the regs!! and 150mm was mentioned . I was refused them a long time ago but complained to MSV head office and they gave me my day back as I complained that they were secure and that no regulations for track days other than the normal format were published or made know in any documentation.

I have the same silencers as you (had a look around your car last weekend in the fog frown )

I've not had a problem yet and I've not come across anyone else having problems, maybe its a new thing confused

It's a regulation applied by RACMSA for sprinting, hillclimbs, etc. May be a TDO can provide some clarification?
