Good stuff!!! smile

Yeah, I've been watching www.metcheck.com all week, looks good at the moment so fingers crossed. Last time I was at Oulton with Focused, it was torrential and the first 2-3 hours were ridiculous, unfortunately an idiot brigade had turned up and were doing their best to turn it into a Rallycross stage. Island looked like a ploughed field by dinnertime.

The 197 is black by the way!!!

I'll keep my eyes out for you, the missus treated me to a HD Camcorder for my birthday last week so hopefully I'll get some good footage. A mate of mine is coming in a Focus ST3 (305BHP) and my dad's bringing his '10 Impreza WRXS out to play too so we should be easy enough to spot.

Met Check is still giving the all clear and tomorrow it'll be on the 4 day (more accurate) check!!! smile

I know that feeling, my pre VAT rise fuel has almost ran out now and I'm not looking forward to my first fuel bill of 2011. But, it's a necessary evil I suppose.

I'll be there for my first track day, looking a little misty in the morning going off the latest reports.

Good day, well organised, very little in the way of stopped track time. Really good value for money and the weather was ok for this time of year.

Any pics anyone?

Definately a good day!!! Massive improvement on the last Focused day I did at Oulton anyway.

I enjoyed the weather in the morning, the track was certainly a bit slick in places but I think that might have helped kerb the ''big balls'' attitude of anybody with idiotic tendencies *cough, Escort Estate, cough*. After dinner though it was even better, Druids was almost driveable hahaha!!! I was well impressed with the standard of driving and the general warm atmosphere there today. Lots of people chatting, people saying thanks when you let them pass etc. etc.

I only have pics of me and the 197 I'm afraid but I do have around an hour and a half of video to edit down.

What cars were everyone in, I'll see if I have any footage of you overtaking me and post it up? smile

To the lads in Garages 2 & 4 (if you're members on here), it was nice chatting to you.

Nice to meet you by the way Andy (Dimski), MX5 looked like fun!!! smile

I agree - standard of driving was good - only 1 crash I believe? An M3?
A couple of people weren't getting out of the way and the gaggle of minis were having so much fun racing each other that they forgot about the growing queue behind them (don't blame them though - they were having too much fun!)
I had some tuition too - well worth £25.

the essy estate is built to do that as the driver knows how it will handle and knows how to pedal the car as its drven like that everytime it goes out on the road and i am pretty sure you were not pushing too hard as i think i went past you once and was keeping upwith you another time and your car should be miles faster than my little escort

i myself have a complaint about the white mini with the big arches that wouldn't move over when was blue flagged then wouln't give way when i was on the outside forcing me to go wide around the last bend then proceded to race me down the straight

was a good day till i my bottem end started knocking and it got me ten minutes from home before it blew up but its a good excuse to put the 2.0lin it now
