I know some of you lot on here will be interested in the plans for this year. We will be holding 3 events this year and the first event will be a 1/4mile sprint along the runway with a possible mile run (TBC). This will be held on Monday April 25th. The next 2 events will be Airfield Driving Experience days. Details of these are yet to be confirmed.

The final details are still in the making but I thought Id pop up a thread so if your interested you can make a date in your diaries.

Cheers

Sounds interesting, especially the 1mile run if it can be done. I signed up on facebook a while ago to the "Odiham car club" group, is that you as well or is that separate?

I'd definitely be up for this as i've missed out on a couple of the RMA days in the last year or so. Would probably take the chim for any kind of straight run as the 205 runs out of steam at 120 smile

Smashing stuff! Really glad there is some interest. As some of you will know were starting fresh and trying to please our upper management by NOT destroying any of the airfeild furniture this time.

The first event will be solely organised by the Odiham car club. We have brought in Striaghtliners for there kit and are very glad to have them along.

The next 2 day, one in July and one in Sept may see us hosting RMA again but this is NOT confirmed as yet due to conflicting dates.

I will raise another thread in the next couple of weeks with final details and a rolling list for those wanting to come along.

Again Thanks for supporting us!!!!

Hi, I was just looking to see if there were any good tracks close to Fleet and this comes up! I'd definitely be interested in the track days more so than the straight line sprint. I don't think the 200SX is quick enough to set any records smile

Out of interest, does anyone know if there are any other good tracks close by? Google searches only seem to bring up the big ones.

Thanks
Chris

Goodwood, kevil airfield are probably the nearest apart from Thruston and Brands. Come along for the drag event. A 200sx wont be slow, my mates bringing his std 3.2 GSI Vectra C and thats deffo not quick of the mark smile

Okay, I'll come along to the drag. Lets hope it isn't raining, a 1 min 1/4 mile time will be on the cards if it is smile

Thanks for the ideas of the other local venues too.

That's a pity, I was hoping to give my 'new' Grantura a good shakedown and Odiham would have been ideal but I can't wait until July.

Fiscracer - The first event is in April (Bank holiday Easter Monday) and that will be a 1/4 mile sprint and possibly a 1 mile sprint - would that do as a sort of shakedown? Please say yes as I would love to see the Grantura in the flesh!!!

Cheers
