Before someone pipes up with 'How much is your head worth?' I think it's important to remember that 99% of the benefits of head protection come from simply wearing a helmet, not what type.
You can spend what you like/can afford and someone will still say you aren't doing enough because they are wearing a more expensive one.
Law of diminishing returns...

If you're going to be doing many track days, I suggest an SA2005 helmet.
Reason being - they are shaped differently to motorcycle helmets. They are designed for you to smash your head into a steering wheel and roll cage, and so the padding and visor clearances are different.
Your head will still be protected in your bike helmet of course and there's no reason to worry - but just to give you an idea, last year a guy in an M3 crashed (not too bad) on a trackday while wearing a full face bike helmet and broke his nose. So your head is not going to explode the moment you wear a bike helmet in a car, but just be aware there is a difference

Assume that was the one the OP was talking about (£109 from memory). V2 were at the Brands Race Live thing, and Autosport, and I had a look at the helmets - it's astonishing they can sell them for that price when you consider what similar helmets from the larger manufacturers cost.I guess there's just a lot of profit in it for the larger manufacturers

They did seem very good value indeed!
I bought a V2 Pro after spending a lot of time trying helmets on and chatting to the guys on stand.
Terrific value and I'm very pleased. £139 and the shell is made by the factory that make a lot of very expensive helmets.
I found it much more comfortable and better than some of the other budget lids at Autosport, but to be fair, it's as much to do with you head shape as the helmet.
